iCare Life,  in alignment with its social objective of helping Singapore age in an effective way, became the first company to hold a talk on “Effective Communication in Caregiving” organized by Agency For Integrated Care (AIC), Singapore at Siglap East Resident Committee. The one hour talk session was held on 7th May 2016.

This is first in the series of talks which AIC has planned to organize country-wide, to promote about Eldercare and the Caregivers Training Grant (CTG) in next one year.

iCare Life was excited to be the first company approached by AIC for the session. The talk was conducted in both English and Mandarin, focusing primarily on communication aspects.

During the interaction with attendees various challenges in communicating with and understanding the Elders were discussed. While highlighting the effects of miscommunication, some ways of effective communication to develop quality relationship with Elders were conveyed, along with useful practical tips.

The spontaneous and participative audience included Chairman of Siglap East Resident Committee and Mayor of South-East District, Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman.

The talk ended in a positive note with a Mothers’ Day buffet dinner for all residents who participated in the talk.

AIC appreciated iCare Life support and wished to continue the association for such future events.
